Something Beautiful

I don't have much to say at the moment, processing and muddling through things that have happened recently. Since my last post our friends three year old daughter passed away and joined the angels in heaven. This has caused me to once again look at life a little differently. I do not expect to find the answer to why our friends now have to live without their precious daughter, or why someone else we know is raising three sons without a mother. It seems like we have been in a season of loss since this summer, lots of people in our lives loosing loved ones. We have been bearing the loss with them, each one hitting close to home causing us to grieve with more empathy for them.

I was recently Christmas shopping and came across a Christmas ornament that said "Every Life Leaves Something Beautiful Behind." I haven't been able to stop thinking of that saying, most likely because of the season we are in, bearing loss with people we care about. I cant help but think of the beautiful things each one has left behind for those they loved. Memories that bring tears, smiles, laughter. Each one a gift for us as we wait for the day we join them in heaven. 

With each one I have been encouraged by witnessing how through some unimaginable circumstances and loss each one is such a beautiful testimony of God's love and the love of His people. It has been amazing to hear of how people have joined together to support each of them through it and are continuing to do so, That is Something Beautiful too.
