More Updates on Sonja's mom

Thank you all so much for praying for my mom. The majority of her blisters have healed up and is now new skin that is sensitive and sometimes breaks open. There is one blister area on her hip that looks like it is infected. She is going to the doctor tonight to have it looked at and hopefully they will give her something to help fight the infection.

Update on Sonja's mom

I talked my mom last night and was happy to hear that she is doing better! She is still uncomfortable and in a fair bit of pain but she is shaking less. Most of the blisters have popped now and are beginning to heal up. Her nurse she had for her last bandage change was surprised at how well she is healing considering she is diabetic.  There is  no signs of infection which is a huge answer to prayer and a blessing for my mom. Praise God he is answering prayer! Her bandage changes are now only taking 30 minutes instead of the 45 minutes they were taking at the beginning. The nurse mentioned that if she continues to heal with no infections most of her burns should be healed up in another week, and sensitive for a while after that. Thank you all for praying for my mom it means a lot to me and my mom to know that we have people surrounding her in prayer. I will keep you updated on how she is doing.

Prayer Request

On Wednesday night my mom was folding laundry and caught her night gown on fire from a candle that was on the coffee table. She is ok but burned the left side of her body before she got the night gown off and fire out. She was home alone for a hour before my younger sister came home and took her to the hospital. She has burns to about 50% of her body that was covered by her night gown. First degree burns over most of it with large patches of second degree burns under her arm and armpit, up her leg, butt, her side and some on her stomach. Her left hand also has burns on her palm and a few fingers. She is diabetic which could cause the healing process to be slow and higher chances of infections. She went to her family doctor yesterday and her doctor has referred her to a would dressing clinic where nurses will change her dressings daily. It is a blessing she is ok and her house did not burn. She is thinking positively and resting uncomfortably at home. Prayer for her would be appreciated. Thank you.
