Wonderful New Year

We have celebrated our first anniversary of being here at Frontier Lodge. It is amazing how fast one year can go by. We have experienced some incredible blessings over the last year.

Our beautiful Mckaleigh full of smiles and giggles blessed our family in July. We are enjoying being a family of 5 and still facing the challenges of Joelle and Liam sharing a bedroom until Mckaleigh is big enough to share  bunk bed and Liam will then have his own bedroom. Praying that Joelle and Mckaleigh sharing a room will go better than it has been with Liam and Joelle.

Another big blessing has been the selling of our house in Lacombe, what a bitter sweet feeling that was. Selling the house closed that chapter in our life for good, it was a bit tough at first, it was our first home and we brought Joelle and Liam to that home. Troy and I spent many hours ripping apart things to renovate and turn something that was outdated into a more functional modern space. I hope the people that now own that home are enjoying it as much as we did. Thank you all for praying with over the selling of the house, God's timing was perfect.

In the spring there was a wildfire that was burning really close to the camp, it was God alone that kept the camp and Nordegg from burning. It was a bit intense living on evacuation notice and not knowing if you were going to be leaving at any moment. Joelle and Liam still look for the helicopters that filled up daily at our lake and flew over our house. We also we blessed with tons of rain not long after the fire was put out, those rains did bring flooding to lots of Alberta but saturated the extremely dry ground and prevented more fires from starting up after the fire was put out.

Our Christmas was spent with sick children that ended up with a trip to the Children's Stollery Hospital in Edmonton. After having 5 sleepless nights and Liam not getting better. Joelle ended up having a throat infection and Liam had croup. It is such a blessing to have the amazing pediatric doctors that really love their jobs and care about the kids they are seeing. Since it was boxing day we were in there the blessed our children with Christmas gifts they played with for the rest of the holidays. Only Troy and Mckaleigh escaped being sick this holiday.

These are just a few things that come to my mind as I think of the last year, we were blessed to meet some really amazing people who worked here and have gone home. We will miss them dearly and hold them in our hearts.

We have been blessed above and beyond anything we had imagined when we quit both our jobs and moved out here following the calling of God. Thank you all for your support both financially and in prayer. Both are invaluable to us as a family. Thank you.

We are so excited for this next year and the many adventures and blessings it is going to bring to our family.
